Virginia Child Support Enforcement and Collection Information
The Division of Child Support Enforcement (DCSE) is part of the Virginia Department of Social Services.
The Virgina Division of Child Support Enforcement offers the following services:
- Locating the non-custodial parent
- Legally establishing the father of a child (paternity)
- Establishing and enforcing support orders
- Working with other states when either parent does not live in Virginia

Customer service representatives are available Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST, by calling 1-800-468-8894. If a representative is not able to answer your question, the representative can send an electronic message to the appropriate worker for follow-up. Call volume is high on Monday and Tuesday, so you may want to try your call later in the week.
